Sample of Creating a Discussion at the local level.

A Local issue of Traffic Congestion, and how to solve it.

A pretty picture or artist's rendering may impress the 4 or 5 City Council Members that a solution has been designed. But, if you are a commuter that uses you may have over time and experience had a better idea. You may have been in discussion about this problem with neighbors.

What do you do?

Open a CTN discussion, present your solution, and invite votes. Members who have requested information on important decisions in your "locale" will be alerted.

And should a neighbor have another idea, well they can contribute to the discussion with their own concept.

With CTN's Dynamic Voting, a new idea, or new understanding, can actually change votes dynamically. [members only] providing an accurate count of current opinion and change in opinion. With a historical view of what changed voters minds.

This makes City Council members 'SMARTER', they know the voters opinions not from past polls but current Dynamic Opinion. This is all possible with CTN's Dynamic Opinion Interactive Technologies (DoIt).

Open Source Government

One of our favorite concepts at CTN is Open Source Government. Modeled after a very effective phenomena related to the internet open source software. A collaboration of interested and committed individuals who work together to create some of the most effective software ever. At CTN we'd like to take this successful concept and give the people power to write or even re-write legislation and submit it to our elected officials.

Imagine if the best minds worked together to craft legislation without special interest influence. Legislation that comes out of need, or understanding of local or national problems. Legislation that can adapt through citizen input to the needs of our nation.

Maybe for the first time in history, grass-roots citizen driven answers can be submitted to our representatives in the form of legislation that all ready has majority approval, and has the eyes of the population watching and really caring for this legislation from concept to law for the very first time.

Peer reviewed and examined by citizen experts in law and legislation, along with public examination on the benefits or problems it can create for small business, the population, etc. Discussions that reach far beyond Washington's lobbyists and special interests. Focusing on the interest of taxpayers and voters Open Source Government can bring new life to government, and redirect legislation to really provide a benefit.

This is a way for citizens to create legislation the 'Everyone Wants' except we never get. A way for legislation to really reflect the needs of citizens. A way to make government responsive in a timely manner.
